FAQs

What is a shaman?

A shaman is someone born with the ability to not only walk in this physical world, but also in the realms of spirit, but these abilities need to be cultivated in order to be of true service. A shaman’s job is to understand how the physical and spiritual worlds interact and affect each other. This ranges from helping individuals to groups. It is a shaman’s job to act as an intermediary and to help preserve the Balance between the physical and spiritual realms.

What is a traditional Native American reading?

Native Americans do not believe in fortune telling.  We believe that the Great Spirit gives you lessons to learn, but that you have the gift of free will to choose how those lessons manifest. Cards and candles aren’t used for that is not part of my culture. These consultations are performed as they have been for hundreds of years.  The focus is self-empowerment and guidance to help you make your own best choices.  Eagle Skyfire will be talking primarily to your Guardian Spirit.

How do I schedule an appointment or register for an event?

You can set up a private reading or consultation by visiting the Shop, although you also are welcome to connect via Contact for a consultation, reading or individual mentoring. When registering for an event or a class, please check my Calendar & Events for detailed registration information.

Is there a cancellation or late policy?

Yes.  Appointments must be cancelled 24 hours in advance to avoid a charge.  Refunds are not available, and rescheduling is accommodated easily.  Please be on time for your appointment so that you receive the full amount of time you have reserved.  If you are late, please understand that scheduling allows for only the time remaining in your appointment and not beyond, and unfortunately, credit for the time late is difficult to accommodate, and unavailable.

When registering for a class, retreat, workshop, or private event, refunds may be available before the date specified for that event, and in accordance with the policies of the facility. After the specified date, no refunds are available and you will be responsible to pay the full amount for that event.

What should I bring to a reading?

There are no specific requirements, but you are welcome to bring questions, pictures or other small items if you wish.  You may want to take notes, although that is a personal preference. Please note that as of June 1, 2019 I will no longer be providing recordings. However, you are more than welcome to record them if you wish. Make sure that your device is fully charged and has enough memory record your session.  If you would like to receive my newsletter and notices of upcoming events please provide your email at that time.

What is a Reading of the Earth?

For a Reading of the Earth, you cast stones upon the Medicine Wheel, the sacred symbol of Native American spirituality representing the Great Spirit and the Creation.  Eagle Skyfire then interprets the patterns of the stones, while consulting your spirit helpers.  The Reading of the Earth focuses on potentially “how & when” different events will take place and how they relate to one another.  It is helpful when trying to determine a grounded course of action or seeing where your current decisions are taking you.  It is the Wheel of the Year.

What is a Reading of Spirit?

This is a shamanic consultation that can look into the future or the past.  It will show you the energies within and around you that are influencing all the areas of your life.  As the name implies, this type of session is not limited to earthly matters as it can look into karma, past lives, and speaking to others in the spirit realms.  The Reading of Spirit focuses on “why” things are happening in your life, and allows you to understand the unseen forces that are shaping what you are experiencing.
